Volumes jump at Tata Chemicals counter, Vakrangee Softwares, Bank of Baroda, Gujarat Pipavav Port and Bank of India are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 13 May 2013.
Tata Chemicals clocked volume of 2.78 lakh shares by 13:45 IST on BSE, a 7.6-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 37,000 shares. The stock lost 0.6% at Rs 320.60.
Vakrangee Softwares notched up volume of 27.41 lakh shares, a 4.67-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 5.87 lakh shares. The stock lost 0.2% at Rs 74.
Bank of Baroda (BoB) saw volume of 3.93 lakh shares, a 4.44-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 88,000 shares. The stock lost 1.23% at Rs 696 after net profit fell 32.23% to Rs 1028.85 crore on 13.82% growth in total income to Rs 10262.50 crore in Q4 March 2013 over Q4 March 2012. The result was announced during market hours today, 13 May 2013.
Gujarat Pipavav Port clocked volume of 14.69 lakh shares, a 3.8-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 3.87 lakh shares. The stock rose 0.52% at Rs 48.15.
Bank of India (BoI) saw volume of 3.62 lakh shares, a 3.54-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 1.02 lakh shares. The stock lost 2.33% at Rs 331.10 after net profit declined 20.58% to Rs 756.57 crore on 5.55% growth in total income to Rs 9265.55 crore in Q4 March 2013 over Q4 March 2012. The bank announced Q4 results during trading hours today, 13 March 2013.
